Snow Gets In Your Eyes

Today's 'Anything Goes' challenge at Simply Papercrafts is sponsored by the most wonderful artist, Morgan Fitzsimons at Morgan's Art World.

There is the super prize of 3 digis for the lucky winner of this week's challenge so pop over and join in with the fun!

I've used one of Morgan's images to add to my ever growing pile of Christmas cards. I just love this image of a girl with a snowflake in her eye. It was just asking to be coloured in an icy colour.....

I wanted to make the card fancy without using lots of embellishment so dug out this gorgeous die with fancy corners I've had for a while. I've built up layers using oval nesties and used a foiled icy green patterned paper as a backing. The image is coloured with the palest aqua/green pro-markers and a couple of gems on the greeting add a touch of bling.

I've also enterered this card into the challenges at:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Christmas
Time Out Challenges - make your mark + monochrome
Crafting For All Seasons - tic tac toe (die cuts/digi/sentiment)
Crafty Gals Corner - bingo (2+ layers/hand coloured digi/die cuts)
Inky Impressions - fancy corners
A Snowflake's Promise - Christmas/winter

So get yourself over to Simply Papercrafts to join in the fun - it's only a click away!

Merry Christmas Die-cut

Today's card was made using a fabulous free die that came with a recent issue of Papercraft Essentials...

Using the 'green and gold' colour theme at Less is More, I used a holly embossing folder for the 'frame', and tiny gold gems for the berries.

I've also entered this card into the challenges at:

Bloggers Challenge - ovals or circles
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge #153 - anything goes
Little Red Wagon - clean and simple
AAA Cards - spectacular embossing

 Thanks for popping in

Cupcake Cutie

Today's card is one I made for a friend's niece - the brief was pink and cakes! I used this ever so cute image from Digistamp Boutique, coloured it with pro markers and used cake themed patterned paper as a background. The ribbon, appropriately, came from a box that contained cakes!

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

Creative Moments - anything goes / use a sentiment
Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge - use a sentiment

Time Out Challenges - make your mark
As You Like It - favourite layout and why - this is my favourite layout because it makes the image the star of the card by being prominently in the middle, yet there is still enough space to show off co-ordinating patterned papers. I also get to use some of my ever-increasing collection of ribbons.
