Pink Butterfly

Today's card was inspired by the wonderful sketch at The Paper Players...

I went down the pink and feminine route with this one:

I used a pink marbled designer card for the background (The Range)- it also has a glittery embossed stripe on it - it's very pretty in the sunlight. I die-cut two of the butterflies - one in a pink card similar to the background and one in a pink and silver patterned card and layered them. For the 'body' I used silvery grey flat-backed pearls.

I mounted the butterfly on white linen card matted on a dull silver paper - I cut the greeting in the same paper - it's from a die set I found in The Works.

I'm also playing along with the challenges at:

Happy Birthday Flowers

Another quick card for my box - I should have a good supply by the time I get back to work...

I've used 3 different patterned papers from my stash, some dark pink card and a variety of flower and circle dies. The greeting is also die cut and I've added silver Card Candi for the centres of the flowers - I really wish  Craftwork Cards still made Candi!

Lilies

I've been trying to make a card every other day during isolation to build up my stocks. Some are better than others - this is one I actually like...

I love die-cut decoupage - this image was from Create and Craft and was very quick to put together with tiny foam pads. I used delicately patterned paper in shades of green as backing and added a die-cut scallop border down one edge.  The greeting was created in Publisher and I added three flat-backed pearls as embellishments.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - flowers
Paper Girls Challenge #197 - florals

Deadpool

So today's card is for a slightly older boy - it's for my friend to give to her teenage son who loves all things Marvel but especially the Deadpool movies. I've never seen any of these movies so I had to Google the characters...

I decided to use a very graphical representation of the Deadpool character using various die-cut shapes. The greeting is also die-cut.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

CAS on Friday #177 - black, white & 1 other colour
Just Add Ink #500 - use a die-cut word
Sisterhood of Crafters - kids cards

Football Bear

Working from home is the pits! Everything seems to take twice as long and I'm really missing the social aspect of work and my colleagues.

Crafting is keeping me sane! Or at least moving and touching my stash is - I'm struggling to make cards but I'm loving sorting my stuff!

I came across a very old decoupage sheet from La Pashe and couldn't resist making this cutie for a small boy...

I do love decoupage. I know it's a bit old school but I get a lot of satisfaction from the cutting out. I've used the patterned paper that came with the image as backing and added some blue matting. The strip of wood patterned paper under the image is to mirror the fence in the image. I couldn't resist adding a couple of cute die cut clouds as embellishments. I used a sticker for the greeting.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:
