First Christmas Card...

The challenge at Less Is More this week is a colour challenge - to use three different shades of green on your card. I've missed the last couple of challenges through being on holiday so this is a lovely way to get back into the swing of things - green is probably my favourite colour. And there's no better colour to use for making a start on Christmas cards!

The image used is a freebie I've had for a while from Paper Squirrel's blog. I love the image and the way it decoupaged very easily but I'm left thinking there's something missing from the card.

  3. It is a nice image and I like the way you've coloured it in the 3 greens. I sort of see what you mean about something missing. I don't think anythings missing I think it's more the balance of the elements. Have you tried moving the candi dots around to see if they work better in another position? Maybe towards the centre? Or maybe moving the tree and sentiment to the middle? Sorry I'm not being critical it's just I know how sometimes I look at one of my cards & think something's not right and someone else will suggest something that works.

  4. Super tree, super card!
it;s a popular misconceptin that clean & simple is easy. I personally think because you have added a few extra bits and bobs it leaves you feelng there needs to be more. However, a perfeclty placed single elemnt can be so striking and dramatic
Well if that's your kidna thing of course lol
    Thanks so much
