Sweet Sixteen

I just don't know where the last week has gone - I've been so busy making cards I haven't had time to post them! First world problems!

Here's a card I made for a colleague at work to give to her Granddaughter on her 16th birthday...

I've gone retro and used an old stamp I've had 7 or 8 years from Stamping Bella - I've only die cut the top part of the image as I've always felt her legs were far too skinny! The papers are also quite old - from the Piece of Cake collection by Dovecraft.

I've coloured the image using coordinating Promarkers and used a variety of fancy dies as borders. Finally I've used some flat backed pearls and two tiny die-cut hearts as embellishments - you can just see the hearts as they have been cut in the same brown colour as one of the papers.

I'm entering this into the challenges at:

Retro Rubber Challenge #117 - anything goes
♥  Promarkers #390 - birthday
Watercooler Wednesdays #234- all about occasions
Crafty Creations #396 - anything goes
The Paper Shelter #393 - punches or dies
Crafty Sentiments - anything goes
Passion For Promarkers #506 - punches or dies
QKR Stampede #358 - anything goes

Have a nice day

  1. What a super girly card you've made! Using the brown stopped all the pink from being over-sweet - great design choice. Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber Challenge this week.
