Today's card was made with one of the Anita's Foiled Decoupage kits...
I like these kits - they are very easy to put together and are great for quick cards. My only gripe is that they don't come with sentiments and I hate to see a card without a sentiment! Luckily I had some blue card the same colour as the background, and printed a greeting with a yellow rim to echo the line around the image.

Every now and you get asked to make a crazy or weird card - today is that day.
This one is for a Star Trek fan...
It was very quick to make as it's such a simple design. I used a blue card base (the same colour as Spock's jumper) and printed the outline of the 'badge' on yellow card. This was fussy cut and attached using foam pads. I made the circles symbol using two ring dies and the greeting was done in Publisher.

Today's card is for my friends' 3rd wedding anniversary. They are mad on penguins so I usually go with this theme for their cards...
I've used a very old freebie digi image from Blackberry Jelly, coloured with pro-markers and mounted on a fancy die-cut heart. I've used plain grey card for the backing with some coordinating polka dot patterned paper. To add a bit of interest on the background I've added some decorative dies in the same colour - this gives a faux embossing effect.
The balloon and bow are also dies and I've added a bit of bling with the mirri number sticker. I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Today's card is my second inspired by the wonderful mood board at Double D Challenges: - WINNER!
I really do love using a red white and blue colour scheme on cards but today I've used a made a much cleaner card as I was also inspired by the one layer challenge at Less Is More:
My first challenge was to find an image with both spots and stripes! I've used a very old digi from TLC - a great site for freebies, especially vintage images and word art.
I've coloured it with pro-markers and used 300gsm linen card so there
is no bleeding through. The sentiment is a quote I
found by simply googling 'kite quotes' - as for most things the internet is
your friend.

I've got a lot of friends' birthdays coming up towards the end of May and in June so I'd best get cracking with some girly cards...
Today's make is using the gorgeous 'So Pretty' digital stamp form The Paper Shelter - isn't she a stunner! She goes perfectly with this lipstick patterned paper from Dovecraft's 'Kiss & Make Up' pack.
I've used a black card base and folded back the front of the card for a change. The image is coloured using pro-markers and I've mounted it on a scalloped circle die-cut. I've also added a greeting and a short verse inside.
To add a bit of girly bling I've used a red pearl for her earring, some red gems under the greeting and some red glitter heart stickers from Papermania.

Today's card was inspired by the following challenges:
Less Is More:
Crafting When We Can - clean and simple
Crafty Gals Corner - clean and simple
Passion For Promarkers - make it bloom
Aud Sentiments - flowers and a sentiment
I made a card base from linen embossed card and die cut the flowers and butterfly using the same card to continue the texture. I coloured the die-cuts using pro-markers - two shades of yellow (mustard and saffron) and a cool grey for the stems.
The stem die is from Memory Box (I cut off the original flowers), the flowers dies are I think Marianne (they are purple?) and the tiny butterfly die came with a magazine.
The middle of the flowers are brads and I've added 2 tiny yellow pearls on the butterfly - both embellishments are from The Range.
The sentiment was created in Publisher using Follow You Into The World font.

Another special order - an 18th birthday card for 'Ross'...
My colour scheme was inspired by the mood board at Double D Challenges:
You gotta love red white and blue - it lends itself very well to masculine cards and I think stars are a great theme for men.
The papers are from a mixed pad from The Range and I used Tattered Lace 'table' numbers dies cut in two colours to create a shadow effect. The greeting was made in Publisher using Copperplate Gothic font and I've gone old school by using a hand punch for the stars.
Hopefully this card will really stand out as I've used a 7x7 inch base card.
I've also entered this card into the challenges at:
Southern Girls #159 - use an actual punch

Today's card was an order from a friend at work - a personalised Silver Wedding Anniversary card for 'Ruth and Gary'...
I used a free heart die that came with a die-cutting magazine and silver mirri card. It's so shiny it was very difficult to photograph. The subtley patterned paper is from a Dovecraft pack and I created the greeting in Publisher using Monotype Corsiva font.
