Yay - it's Friday - although we're having a bit of a wet one here in the North East of England - I think Summer might be over!
There's a new challenge over at Simply Papercraft today ...
As
usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to
join in. Today's wonderful sponsor is Nikki - aka Melonheadz
What a wonderfully weird image but as it's for a bit of a strange couple I think it's perfect!
I've coloured the image using pro-markers and used a range of pink and grey patterned papers from my stash. I've added some die cut flowers with black pearl centres as embellishments and added a sentiment created in Publisher.
I've entered this card into the challenges at:
Sweet Stampin' - lots of layers
Die Cuttin' Divas - wedding/anniversary
Deep Ocean Challenge #158 - lots of layers
4 Crafty Chicks #357 - anything goes
Double D Challenge - anything wedding
(Pin)spirational Challenge #193 - photo below
So get yourselves over to Simply Papercraft and join in the fun - it's only a click away!

I've now managed to make a start on my regular Christmas orders....
Each year I make a card for my friend's son (Evan) to give to his uncle and his husband - not a card that would be readily available on the High Street.
I've used a really cute robins couple digital image from the Digistamp Boutique. It's coloured with pro-markers, and mounted on dark red paper with a scallop down one side. The co-ordinating patterned paper is from a really old Trimcraft pack and I've added a simple greeting with a solitary gem. There's a sprinkle of white glitter on the hats as well which was really difficult to catch in the photo.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
ABC Christmas Challenge - L for love / M for more than one
Crafting By Designs - get ready for Christmas
Fab N Funky #357 - Christmas Crackers
Inky Chicks #85 - Christmas
The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #9 - AG

Today's card was a request for a friend who wanted a girl reading or surrounded by books...
The image was from a company called Rosey Hearts who I think is now defunct. The pile of books is cut from a bookworm digi from Robyn's Fetish. This is exactly why I love digis - you can mix and match images!
I've coloured the images with pro-markers and mounted on dark red card. The patterned paper in the background is a subtle gold spot design and I've added some bling in the form of red diamante gems.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
Addicted To Stamps and More #247 - make your mark
Seize The Birthday - anything goes
Crafty Sentiments - add a sentiment
Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge #334 - anything goes

Today's card is an order from a friend at work who wanted something penguin themed - I do seem to make a lot of penguin cards!!
I've used this very sweet digi image from 2 Cute Ink - coloured with pro-markers and mounted on scalloped die-cut circles.
I've used a large square 8x8 white base so this card will really stand out! The backing papers are from my stash and I created the greeting using Candy Round font. Finally, I've added some coloured pearls to mimic the polka dots in the backing paper.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

I'm sharing a bit of an unusual(for me) card today.
I bought a pad of lovely glittery patterned 'summer' papers from Aldi or Lidl (to me they are the same shop) at the weekend. I needed to make a card for a toddler about to have his first birthday and used a cut-off of one of the papers as a sea scene background, with a Digistamp Boutique image 'floating' against it....
I've fussy cut the image after colouring with pro-markers and attached using foam pads. I've also cut a couple of boats from leftover paper and raised them on foam pads aswell. The greeting was made in Publisher using Cheri font. Finally I've die-cut a number '1' and added this to the sail.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
Always Fun Challenge #10 - male or dad
Crafty Cardmakers #190 - special man/boy
Send A Smile 4 Kids - AG for kids
Pattie's Creations #135 - for the boys

Today's card was a request from a friend to make a birthday card with girls drinking cocktails. I knew the perfect stamp for this one...
The stamp is of course a much loved Uptown Girls image from Stampin' Bella - my go to image for girly birthdays. I've coloured the image with pro-markers and paper-pieced the dresses using pretty pink and green papers from Craft Sensations Pink Highlights pad (from the Range).
I've cut five fancy stars to make the border on the image and added a greeting using The Urban Way font.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
Crafty Catz #374 - AG with dies/punches
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #419 - inspired by a film (Cocktail!)
The Paper Shelter #297 - flower power
Watercooler Wednesday #122 - feminine
Inky Chicks #84 - use 3 patterned papers
Stinkin' Inkers - girls just wanna have fun
Enjoy the weekend folks

Today's card was a request from a friend for her Dad who's turning 70 this week.
I used Tattered Lace's big table numbers with some dull silver mirri card I found in my Christmas 'stuff', with a blue shadow. I've added a blue die-cut frame so the numbers didn't look lost on the blue gingham patterned background, and to embellish, I've created fancy corners using a quartered cog die (bought ages ago and forgotten about!!). Finally, I've added a greeting in Formal 435 BT font and some peel-off rivets.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
Fab N Funky #354 - marvellous men
Unicorn Challenge #22 - for the guys
The Paper Players #347 - birthday
Dies R Us #74 - masculine
Shopping Our Stash #306 - dude

I'm trying to make at least 3 Christmas cards each month and as so far all my efforts have been either general or feminine I thought I'd make on with a more masculine feel today...
I found some Christmas stickers in a bargain bin at the last craft fair I attended, and it just so happened I already had the matching Dovecraft patterned paper pack! The crafty Gods were certainly looking down on me!
I've kept the design simple, just die-cut mounts and a plain font for the greeting (Copperplate Gothic) and some die-cut corner shapes which made me think of a deer head ant antlers.
I'm entering this card into the challenges at:
Allsorts Challenge #418 - Christmas in June
Just Us Girls #396 - die-cuts
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas # 336 - anything Christmas
Craft Rocket Challenges #38 - for the men/boys
