I've used one of the fab festive images kindly provided by Crafty Sentiments. As I intend to use it for one of my close circle of friends I've made it girly using shades of pink and lilac. The patterned paper is almost retro - it's very old from The English Paper Company (I thinks that's what they were called!)

Through The Window

Today's card is one requested by a friend at work - a 'Happy New Home' card for her parents.

I bought some die-cut window frames and boxes a while ago at a craft fair and they have been sitting unloved in a bits and bobs box - this seemed the ideal opportunity to use them. I used a brick pattern I found via Google as the background and coloured this with pro-markers. I then 'built up' the window using a grey pice of card for 'inside' the house and a cut doily for the curtains.

The flower box was decorated using punched leaves in various shades of green and some pink gems shaped as flowers that I've had for years. Finally, I added the sun shade and printed a greeting using Copperplate Gothic font.

Have A Super Birthday!

Happy Friday everyone - an exciting one for me as I'm off to Leeds for the weekend - a few drinks, some nice food, a touch of retail therapy and we're off to see a band on Saturday night.

I've used one of the fab 'super hero' images kindly provided by Melonheadz. I've added some brightly patterned papers from my stash to compliment the pro-markers I've used to colour the image and some punched stars. The greeting was created in Microsoft Publisher using Bebas font.

Santa On Wheels!

It's my second go at being a guest designer at Crimbo Crackers and doing this has really pushed me to get an early start on my festive greetings! The challenge is an 'Anything goes' one so get yourself over to the blog and get a head start on your Christmas makes!

Here's my card created with a fabulous Santa on a Motorbike decoupage from I think Kanban 

I've mounted the image on some textured gold paper and added a greeting made in Microsoft Publisher using Hey Pretty Girl font. I like the look of the greeting down the side - makes the layout a bit more unusual. Finally I've added some die cut snowflakes with a central pearl.

60th Birthday Cake

Happy Friday everyone - an especially good one for me as I'm off work today meaning I have an extra long weekend!

I've used a cute birthday cake image from Digistamp Boutique, coloured with pro-markers. The backing patterned paper is from Papermania's Sweet Nothings pad and I've added a pretty doily and some laser cut ribbon.

Christmas in June!

Morning All,

I'm well and truly back on track in my craftroom after my break - I've even made some Christmas Cards! I was really excited to be asked to be a Guest Designer at Crimbo Crackers after winning one of their challenges. I do love Christmas Challenge blogs - they are a great way to encourage you to get those Christmas cards made through the year rather than trying to make 50 in November!!

I made this grandparents card using a cute decoupage image from La Pashe and some festive striped papers from my stash...

No Christmas card is complete without some bling so I've added some shiny red gems to the die-cut bow and bauble.

All White

Today's card was a request from a friend at work - an anniversary card for her parent's 56th Wedding Anniversary...

I've gone for the white on white look, using various dies and heart shaped pearls. It's fancy but CAS at the same time because of the monotone white.

Penguin Love

Penguin cards are very popular where I work - I often get asked to make special cards with this theme. I desperately need some more penguin images as I use this cutie by Blackberry Jelly far too often!

I coloured and fussy cut the images and mounted them on matted die-cut hearts. The black and white polka-dot paper is from my stash and I added a computer generated greeting usen Kristen font. Finally I've added some punched red hearts.

Mickey Mouse

Today's card is for a little boy who loves Mickey Mouse...

I used a digi image of Micky I found by Googling 'Disney colouring pages' and 'flat' coloured him using pro-markers. I then fussy cut him - that tail was awkward! I've used red and white polka dot patterned paper down the sides of the card and die-cut a balloon which I also coloured yellow. The number is a sticker and the string is black embroidery thread.

NitWits Snowman

Two boxes ticked off today - I've used some old stash and I've made another Christmas card (albeit a very simple one!).

The NitWits cute snowman topper and papers came a long time ago with the sadly now defunct Creative Cardmaking magazine - I loved that mag - you always got fab papers and images with it.

The faux ribbon also came with the mag - I've simply added a die-cut snowflake and a red gem and a greeting done on the computer (Follow You Into The World font).
