Following on from yesterday's card I played about some more with the trellis under the shape idea and came up with this simple anniversary card. This time the trellis was hand made with strips of card.
I cut a heart shape from the middle of the top layer of white card and made a red heart frame to go around the aperture. Then, on the back of the aperture, I carefully criss-crossed thin strips of matching card to make a trellis.
On the front, at each crossover point I added a red diamante to cover the join. The sentiment was done on the computer (MKBritishWriting font).
The finished size is 8x8 inches so it's quite a large card. I think this idea will lend itself to other 'coloured' anniversaries - golden and silver for example, but I might try 6x6 which is an easier size to work with.
I've entered this into the following Challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes (optional Love)
Brown Sugar Challenge - Go red / hearts
Card Makin' Mammas - In the mood for love
Glitter 'n' Sparkle - Valentine / love
Thanks for looking...
