Pride

In celebration of Pride Day and inspired by the sketch challenge at Less Is More...

and also by the 'J is for Jewels' challenge at the Alphabet Challenge Blog I have made this card:

The colourful rainbow strips were cut from Papermania's textured card pack and the gems were coloured with pro markers to match the card. The 'celebrate' die is from Paper Smooches.

It's Time To Party!

I was asked to make a 'big' card with a penguin theme for a friend and found the ideal digi at 2CuteInk - here's what I made with it...

The lovely spotted paper is from my stash and I've made the greeting in Microsoft Publisher. I've made the image fairly large (the base card is 8 x 8 ) and coloured it with pro-markers. He was then fussy cut and stuck to the card using foam pads.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - anything goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - anything goes
I♥ProMarkers - things with wings

Creative Inspirations - your favourite crafting item

My favourite crafting item is definitely digi stamps. They are just so versatile - they can be re-sized, I can 'crop' bits off them and they are very easy to store - on the computer and backed up on discs. I love colouring the images or paper piecing them and loads come for free!

Georgie The Giraffe

Good morning folks...

There's another 'anything goes' challenge going on today over at Simply Papercrafts Challenge and as usual we have a fabulous sponsor, Lacy Sunshine, who is offering a fantastic prize of 3 digi images for the lucky winner.

The design team have been given some fabulous images to play with but I couldn't resist this cutie - Georgie the Giraffe. he was a pleasure to colour and so easy to decoupage. The paper I've used are from a Dovecraft pack (Tea Party) and I've added some pink gems and some lace from my stash.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

ABC Challenge Blog - L is for lace
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge (#232) - anything goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - oh so pretty
Crafting From The Heart - anything goes

Home Is Where The Cat Is...

Just a quick card today!

It's a new home card for a cat lover using these cute digis from Digistamp Boutique...

It's a one layer card and I've used a lovely thick 300gsm linen card for the base so that the pro-markers don't bleed through.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

Less Is More - home (one layer week)
My Time To Craft - all white except the image
Wags N Whiskers - CAS
Pile It On - houses/homes
Crafty Catz - CAS

Relax

There's been an air of excitement in Glittertastic Towers this week because of some wonderful news I had last weekend. I have been lucky enough to be asked to join a new challenge blog - SIMPLY PAPERCRAFT.

It's a very friendly challenge blog with an 'Anything Goes' challenge every fortnight (Fridays) and this week's challenge is kindly being sponsored by a company who have provided the design team with some lovely images to play with and as prizes:

and

So today's card is my very first design team effort and using this delightful image from Rosey Hearts I have created this:

I've kept to my usual simple style, making the image the main focus of the card. She is coloured using pro-markers and I've used some spotted patterned paper from my stash as the background to match the coloured of the book. I couldn't resist adding a bit of bling - 3 shiny gems under the computer generated greeting which was done in Monotype Corsiva font.

So follow the link above and start playing and who knows - you could win some fabulous new digital images to play with!
