Christmas Bear

Happy Friday everyone!

Another fortnight has passed which means it's time for the next challenge at:

As usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to join in! This week the challenge is being sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs:

I've used this seriously cute digi of a Christmas Bear kindly provided by the company to make this:

I've coloured the image using pro-markers and used co-ordinating patterned papers from Kaisercraft that came free with a magazine. The sentiment was printed on the computer and I've added a snowflake embellishment with a heart button and twine.

No other challenges this week as all being well I'm sipping cocktails on a Mexican beach!

Kanban Pastel Bouquet

Hello all

Today's card was a really quick make using die-cut floral decoupage from Kanban. I used cream linen card for the card base and some floral patterned paper from Dovecraft. I also embossed a cream panel for the backing to add some texture and a ribbon to hide the join with the patterned paper. Gems were also added for the centre of some flowers.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Chocolate Coffee & Cards Challenge - anything goes
Morgan's Art World - for the ladies
Craft Rocket Challenge - Mother's Day
Crafty Girls Creations #14 - anything goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - anything goes

Flowers For Mother

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope you were spoilt rotten!

Today's card is for a lady in our lives we all love - your Mum, Mom, Ma, Mother, Mummy or as we say here in the North east - Mam.

I used a gorgeous vase of flowers digi from The Digistamp Boutique, printed onto a linen base card and coloured with Pro-markers. The greeting is also from Digistamp Boutique. I've also added three of the tiniest flat-backed pearls I possess just to make it less 'flat'.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - clean and simple
Less Is More - one layer week - include a stem
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - sentimental
That Craft Place - anything goes

Smell The Coffee

Happy Friday everyone!

Another fortnight has passed which means it's time for the next challenge at Simply Papercraft:

As usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to join in! This week the challenge is being sponsored by Karleigh Sue's Digi Store

I've used this gorgeous digi of a girl wrapped up for winter with a cup of coffee kindly provided by Karleigh Sue which was a delight to colour. She's a girl after my own heart - I can't get through the day without regular caffeine!

I've coloured the image using pro-markers and used co-ordinating patterned papers from Dovecraft's Tea Party collection. The coffee-themed sentiment and the latte embellishment are both from Digistamp Boutique. I've also added some lace and flat backed pearls from my stash.

I'm entering this into the challenges at:

The Sisterhood of Crafters - warm thoughts

Crafty Girls Creations #14 - anything goes

I ♥ ProMarkers - bingo (lace, free, sentiment)

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - use patterned paper!

Thanks for popping in!

Will You Be My Valentine?

Today's card was made using some toppers that came with Making Cards magazine last year..

The kraft/pastel pink chalkboard effect is so sweet! All I have done is double mount one topper on top of another and added some pale pink pearls. The subtly patterned backing paper came from Papermania's 'Exquisite' paper pack and the heart border was part of the page of toppers in the magazine - I never waste anything!

I'm entering this into the challenges at:

Fantastic Tuesday #123 - anything goes/so in love
Creative Card Crew #106 - love
Crafty Cardmakers #157 - love, love, love
Dream Valley Challenges #124 - Valentine's Day

Thanks for looking...

Love You...

Now I don't usually make Valentine's Day cards but I have certainly been inspired by the following challenges today:

Allsorts Challenge Blog - clean and simple
My Time To Craft - love is all around
Just Us Girls - valentine
Less Is More - white on  white
Inkspirational - photo inspiration

Using some lovely linen textured card and some clear gems I created this:

I made the letters in Publisher and cut them out with a craft knife. The heart is die cut and I created a bling border using gems. I've mounted these with foam pads on a trellis embossed panel. The gem theme is continued with stick on letters.

I must also wish a happy 5th birthday to Less is More - where has the time gone? Their challenges often brighten my Saturdays and the design team past and present is made up of some of the most talented CAS card makers I've seen in blogland.

Catherine's 90th Birthday

Today's card is for a lady who has reached the grand old age of 90! As Catherine's eyesight is quite poor I wanted to make something that was textured to allow her to feel what she might not be able to see...

The flower digi is a very old one from Birdie Brown - I'm not sure if it is available any more. I've printed the digi onto patterned papers and layered the flower. The numbers were created in publisher with a faux stitching effect to match the flower and printed onto the same patterned paper. For the background, I used a butterfly embossing folder that came free with a magazine.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge #263 - anything goes
Mod Squad Challenge - hearts or flowers
Southern Girls Challenge - anything goes
Time Out Challenges - 'Love is the flower you've got to let grow'
