It's A Nice Day For A White Wedding

Today's card is for a friend getting married tomorrow. I was sorting out my dies and came across this Spellbinders scalloped oblong die that I been saving for the right occasion (and I've had it for ages!)...

I've kept to a white and pearls theme - so fitting for a wedding card. The beautiful filigree heart die is also an old one - Memory Box I believe.

Gran's 70th Birthday

Today's card is for a friend's children to give to their Gran on her 70th Birthday.

I've used a variety of fancy dies and some lovely papers from a pad from The Range. I've created the greeting in Microsoft Publisher using KG Be Still and Know font and added a few flat-backed pearls as embellishments. All the layers have been mounted using foam pads to add depth.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Christmas - But It's Only July!

I thought I'd make a start on some of my regular Christmas orders while watching the tennis. Each year I get asked to make a card for my friend's son to give to his uncle and his husband. It is so difficult to get personalised cards for gay family members so I look forward to the challenge each year.

I used this seriously cute digi from Digistamp Boutique (no longer open)...

I've used a kraft card base and matted a red and kraft snowflake patterned paper from The Range onto some dark red card. The image was coloured with pro-markers the die cut into an oval shape with dark red matting. I extended this above the top of the card when I attached it.

The greeting was created in Publisher and added using foam pads. The result is a simple but cute card personalised for the recipients.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Sad News - and a New Baby

It's been a very sad week in the Glittertastic household. Our beloved cat, Harvey, had a sudden stroke and although we rushed him to the vet he didn't make it. He was 18 years old and ruled the roost! Rest In Peace little buddy - you were loved so much.

So I haven't really had the heart to make many cards but today I needed a baby girl card...

The gorgeous image is of course Baby Hammock from Penny Black which I've stamped using black ink (Docrafts Artiste) and coloured with pro-markers. I've used patterned papers from a pad from The Works. I made the greeting in Publisher using Candy Round font and added pearl and silver peel-off strips as embellishments.

My layout came from this lovely sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

I'm also entering this card into the challenges at:

Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Unicorn Challenge #45 - for a baby or child
Passion for Pro-markers #500 - make it square
As You Like It - favourite make for a baby. My favourite make is a congratulations card - but they must be cute. It's a chance to use really pretty pink and blue papers and it's a lovely keepsake for the new parents to keep forever.
